Over 250 years after the victory of the players on the Destroyers in the Eye of the North, the world has changed, and Tyrie, man is no longer dominant. In addition to the emergence of new races, several major disasters that befell the continent. These disasters have mostly been caused by the revival of ancient dragons, creatures that can rival the gods, the first is called Primordus which is responsible for the appearance of the Destroyers. Men in the world, have found refuge in the kingdom of Kryta. Since a tsunami, caused by the emergence of the lost continent of Orr, who destroyed the capital of Lion's Arch and submerging coastal villages. The Norn were driven south, abandoning their country to the dwarf, for the awakening of the Ice Dragon.
The Charr have taken possession of their ancestral lands occupied by the Kingdom of Ascalon and make faces another huge dragon. The sylvari more plant than human, born of the tree planted by Ronan. The sylvari begin to explore the world. For their part, the azure want a place on the surface by offering their services to other races in cities connected by their network of portals. Tyrie has lost contact with Cantha shortly after the continent descended into isolationism. Contacts with Elona are broken since the death of King Palawa Joko which has established a base in the desert of Cristal and conquered the land of golden sun.
At first, there was a group of Ascalonians (on the run from the Charr, led by Prince Rurik) who were looking for refuge in Kryta. The White Mantle welcomed them, but then (see the missions 'The Wilds' and 'Bloodstone Fen') the Ascalonians discovered that all was not what it seemed, and that the Shining Blade were actually the good guys. So the Ascalonians (and you, the player/the Chosen) helped the Shining Blade in their fight against the White Mantle and the Mursaat, and the Krytans offered shelter to many of the Ascalonian refugees. In addition, the Ascalonians were offered their own settlement to the north of Lion's Arch. A large group of Ascalonians moved there, to found their own community. In the meantime, however, another group of Ascalonians had decided to take the fight straight to the Charr. They grouped up and invaded the Charr Homelands (this is how the Ebon Vanguard came into existence). They used an ancient tower as their base: the Eye of the North. Some time thereafter, during the so-called War in Kryta events, Evennia travels to the Eye of the North and asks the Ebon Vanguard for help in driving out the White Mantle for good, in return for everything Kryta has done for the Ascalonian refugees. How am I doing so far? rewrote the Ascalon Settlement part to fix a few obvious mistakes.
Krytans sent Ambassador Zain to offer Ascalon their help. My question refers to their initial interests there – why offer help to a nation that was at war with you not so long ago help while you have trouble with the undead swarming your lands. The initial Vanguard assault over the wall was led by Duke Barradin (aka he led the complete Vanguard over the wall). Ebon Vanguard formed up after some of the Vanguard branched off to lead the refugees over the mountains.
It's complicated for me to visualize a nature-oriented sylvari as being a tech-heavy professional. The primary engineers came through the rates with the charr Metal Hord, who ended up progressive weaponsmiths. Quickly other backrounds began to take detect of methods powerful this brand new technologies had been, technical engineers all track record began to appear all over Tyria. Gamers generally are excellent as well as strange numbers, heroes who stick out amongst their own men and women. Just as you will find asura players as well as norn necromancers, this is not unheard of for an inquisitive, mechanically-inclined sylvari to become a good professional.
